Michael Bantam of DreamCastIdaho.com will be giving a seminar on how to select the right gear to get started. Topics of discussion will be selecting the right rod, matching up a reel, and how to select a line based on the style, and type of fishing you will be doing (i.e. Skagit, Scandi, or Traditional techniques). Each casting style will be discussed to help you determine the right setup that will get you started out right. Then we will be addressing what a Spey cast is, how it works, and the advantages of learning these wonderful casting techniques. We will introduce you to the basic casts (i.e. Switch Cast, Double Spey, Snap “T”, and Snake Roll) to help you get started on your own.
Cabela’s of Boise Idaho will be hosting this seminar on the 19th of November 2011 in the Sawtooth Conference Room at 3 pm until 4 pm. This will be a great opportunity to ask your questions and find out more information before you make that choice in a spey rod, reel, and line.
Please call Cabela’s at 208-672-7900 to register.
