We love the feedback we receive from the many people we come across, work with, teach, learn from and get the pleasure to know through our love of Fly Fishing.
Take a look at what others had to say about DreamCast Idaho:
Hi Michael,
I ran into you and your wife several months ago at the expo and
remember talking about some casting instruction. We’re headed to Pesca
Maya in September and could really use some double haul instruction.
I’d be happy to sign up for the advanced class as I would like to
learn other techniques as well, but I wasn’t sure if that would be the
best approach. Let me know your thoughts and I’ll try to get something
booked!
Thanks a ton,
Eric

fishing,,, gong to practice a lot and am looking forward to hitting

Hey Mike
today I set up the fly rod my kids got me for christmas,,, it a Reddington 5w 9ft,,,, I was practicing casting with
it,,, it didn’t case like the one you had,,,, mine seemed a little
stiffer,,, I check and it shows that it’s a medium-fast action,,,,it
does cast differently,,,, is there any else I should know about this
rod,,,,, or should I look for another rod that’s just a medium
action,,,, thanks I appreciate your help.

Michael,
Thanks for a great beginning class on Saturday. Without your help, I
would have been tangled up in knots on the riverbank with a hook
through my ear, swearing up a storm. Your infectious enthusiasm for
the sport made learning fun and created a hunger for more knowledge. I
now have the confidence and understanding to not only outfit myself,
but to develop my techniques properly instead of creating bad habits.
The incremental steps of your instruction gave me a solid foundation
on which to build my fly fishing journey. Thanks to you, I’m looking
forward to many enjoyable hours on the river and your intermediate
class. You’re a great teacher!
Thanks again

Thanks Michael for a great class today, Wayne and I both enjoyed it. We will see you at Cabela’s to purchase our gear in a couple of weeks.

Mike:
The class yesterday was great. Thanks very much for some great
instruction and assistance. Greg made an excellent recommendation.
I would like to seriously address the problem you identified with my
wrist. Is there a time when you will be at Cabela’s that we can meet
to discuss the wrist brace you mentioned? Also, after spending some
time working on the issue myself, I would like to have another session
with you if you are willing.
Thanks again and best regards.
David
Michael,
I sort of met you in passing today at Cabelas. I was blessed to be in
line with a friend of yours and you gave me a card. It felt it was
providential because was learning things from him and it certainly
made the long wait go by. Late tonight (11:00), I looked up your
website – a better blessing! You have a very enjoyable and enviable
calling! I am an untried beginner, only wet a fly line once.
Hopefully, I will be able to take a lesson later some time. In the
meantime, I will look over your videos, learn some things this winter,
and pass website on to friends.Grace and peace in the name of our Lord,

Well, after I completed class on Sat, my son and I went fishing for
the first time on Father’s Day. It was windy as all get out, but I
found a place I could flip the fly up and watch it roll out. I caught
a 16in bass and missed another cause I tied the new fly on wrong. Had
a blast. Last night the weather was awesome and after packing the
garage up to move, I decided to just go play around at Mt Home Res. As
I waded into the water at a lake I had been to 100s of times, it hit
me. Even though fly fishing is more involved, it is much more relaxing
than simple spinner fishing. I didn’t even care if I caught a fish, it
was just fun, until my rod snapped in half on my 3rd cast. Back to
Cabela’s I go. Overall, I’m loving it. Fly fishing requires more
involvement with the surroundings which makes us take time to appreciate
them more, even in the ugly Mt Home Res. setting. That is probably the
best thing you taught us, enjoy the surroundings.

“Ivan and I took your beginner’s class last Saturday and had a blast!
You are a great teacher and the workshop format was ideal for teaching
us the hands-on skill of casting, the theory behind the art, and
selection of equipment. By the end of the day we felt as though we
really could go fishing – so we did, the next day. Guess what? Ivan
caught 2 fish his first day out!!Thanks for your patience and generous sharing of knowledge!”

“Michael Bantam brings a highly skilled knowledge of what he loves to do, fly-fish! Michael’s professionalism with not only the know-how but the true meaning of why we love to fish. He demonstrated a genre of techniques at our WFFI general meeting with the spey rod program. Michael also gave 110% of excellence on the basic fly fishing instruction during the WFFI Annual Beginners Spring Workshop and VA Healing Waters Project. We really enjoy his true love of the sport and the people he instructs. The WFFI group looks forward to having him visit again soon!”

Michael,
Thank you so much for the Fly Fishing on Saltwater/Bonefish class in March. I was really nervous to go saltwater fishing for my first time because I knew things would be so different than trout fishing.
However….the techniques you taught me in a single afternoon up here in Boise Idaho definitely followed me down to the Bahamas. I have no doubt the lessons I learned from you saved me from several frustrating days down there.
You would have been proud, I only ‘trout set’ a few (dozen) times! Thank you for your class, the instruction, wisdom and help. It truly made my experience bonefishing more enjoyable.

Dear DreamCast Idaho,
Thanks for all your help during the Beginning Fly Fishing Class. I feel much more confident now getting out on the river. I recommend this class to anyone who has been interested in learning how to fly fish but is unsure of just where to begin. Michael is a friendly, knowledgeable instructor and offers a very accessible, user friendly beginners class.
Thanks again,
Jamie
Michael, I was in your beginning fly fishing class at Cabela’s today. Big bald guy with a cane….yeah, I knew you’d remember me! I’d like to get to know you better, not just for fly fishing, but because we share a common faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you for a great class.
Phil
Michael,
I really enjoyed the intermediate class today. I learned considerable new information and a whole new set of skills to develop and deploy. I didn’t come prepared for tipping as I really didn’t think my class would be a one on one session. I certainly got more than my monies worth. I will spread the word and get you some more students. You will see me again for Spey casting after I develop some the lessons learned today.
Again, Thank you so much for your time!!
John
